Golden Prince Hotel and Suites: My Favorite Place to Stay When In Cebu City
The past two years, whenever I would go to Cebu for work or for pleasure, I get to stay at Golden Prince Hotel and Suites. I dunno but their accommodations are just the best in my perception. It may be because I am easy to please and I always find value for my money whenever I burn cash. Golden Prince Hotel and Suites has it all: posh interiors, presentable function rooms, spacious rooms (with air-con, wifi, hot and cold shower, cable TV, telephone system, personal refrigerator, automated door lock, etc.), good food, friendly staff and its accessibility to the business and commercial centers in the city.

During our recent Bohol and Cebu vacation, we stayed at this hotel for three days. To give you an idea how accessible it is, Ayala Mall (including the new Ayala Terraces) is just a 3-minute walk. And if it’s your first time and you wanna explore the city, there are cabs just outside the hotel waiting for passengers.

Aside from their reasonable prices, Golden Prince Hotel and Suites shines above the rest in my hotel list because of its cozy and neat ambiance. As I enter the hotel door, I can already feel the warmth a host that will do everything to please me. As I open my room with the electronic card given to me, the lights open in harmony and I am welcomed by the crisp smell of the bed linen. Definitely, each night of my stay is going to be fun, luxurious and well-taken care of. The last time we went there, we stayed in a Superior room (double, with breakfast).
The only thing I don’t like about the hotel is that their wifi is NOT FREE. I hope the management will look into the possibility of giving it for free, like an extra service. If you’ll notice, Cebu is one of the very few cities in the Philippines where most establishments offer free wifi. Manila pales in comparison to Cebu when it comes to free wifi. When in Cebu, go out and observe it.

But, if you’re really very frugal and would really like to save on money, you may want to consider their sister company, Golden Valley Hotel which charges a bit lower than them. I stayed here twice already and it’s very near University of San Carlos and Elizabeth Mall.
